Girl Guiding & Scouts
We welcome uniform groups such as Brownies, Beavers, Guides, Scouts, and Rainbows. Whether you want a guided tour, a trail, or even a local history workshop we’re happy to work with you to design your ideal session. We can accommodate evening and weekend visits.
Godalming Museum welcomes uniformed groups and youth groups who wish to explore our collection and engage in workshops to support their achievements for activity badges. We offer daytime and evening twilight visits to the museum, and outreach sessions to the group’s meeting place. See the School Visits page to view our range of workshops which can be adapted for different age groups and access needs.
We are happy to discuss bespoke requirements for Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers, for Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers, and for Cadets, especially if the group are working towards requirements for a specific activity badge.
If you would like to discuss your requirements or require help making a booking please contact the Education & Outreach Officer by email on museum.education@godalming-tc.gov.uk or call us on 01483 426510.

Museum visits can take place during our regular opening hours in the school holidays, and on Mondays when the museum is closed to the public.
We endeavour to accommodate evening twilight visits to match with your group’s regular meeting time if that is desired.
We can be flexible with regard to timings.
Each workshop typically lasts 40 minutes to 1 hour. Multiple workshops can be booked per visit.

The Pepperpot (opposite the museum) may be available for larger groups and workshops if required. This MUST be booked in advance.
The Pepperpot has its own toilet facilities, and there are 2 toilets available at the museum.
The Pepperpot is a two-story building and as a Grade II listed building it is not currently possible to provide wheelchair access.
We are happy to discuss all access requirements for physical needs and hidden disabilities to make your whole group’s visit a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
We do not currently have dedicated bag and coat storage at the museum.
