Godalming Museum can only open each day because of the active commitment of the community. It depends on the volunteers who staff the Museum, on the Friends and business sponsors who support it and on the visitors who give donations.

Godalming Town Council provides a Curator and Museum Support Manager for the Museum but every penny of the running costs is raised by an independent charitable trust, Godalming Museum Trust (Registered Charity No 292155). The Trust needs to raise £100 a day just to keep the Museum open.

You can donate to the Museum in several ways:

Using cash - in one of our donation boxes at the Museum.
By cheque - send a cheque made out to Godalming Museum Trust to the Museum.
By card - you can make a donation by contactless card payment in our gift shop.
You may wish to consider leaving the Museum a legacy in your will.
